First Kiss at the Altar! A Whimsical Mountain-top Destination Celebration in McGregor, South Africa.
Description: Malan & Marteli got married at the picturesque Heaven’s View located in the Riviersonderend Mountain Range in Western Cape South Africa. And yes! You read that right! The couple shared their first kiss at the altar as husband and wife.
The wedding was a weekend-getaway with the guests arriving the Friday and departed on the Sunday. On the Friday, stories and music brought the guests closer as friends, leading up to the ceremony on the following day. The wedding brought everyone together. The dress was made by a family friend and the cake by one of the bridesmaids.
On the day of the wedding, mist covered the landscape and slowly parted to reveal a gloriously sunny day. Marteli’s bridesmaids were brought to tears when they saw her in her wedding dress for the first time!
The bride was ushered in by her bridesmaids as they danced with ribbons in hand. Marteli’s brothers walked her to the aisle after which she was given over to her father, who was also the marriage officiant. The couple wrote their own vows in declaration of their love and long-lasting devotion against the backdrop of mountain ranges as far as the eye can see. The couple completed their photographs on top of the mountain (swoon!). The night was filled with laughter and dancing, a truly joyous occasion. The reception's playlist was carefully selected by the groomsmen, with even a live number from the bride's talented brother!
The decor's pallet was green and white, very natural and organic. The couple's love for nature was echoed throughout.
