Photos by The Le Sueurs & Sinjin Süllwald

Jonathan and I got married on a small homestead, Alexander House, in Keurboomstrand that I found on AirBnB with a handful of our closest family and friends. We did everything ourselves, from thrifting all the decor (including Jonathan’s tweed Made-in-Scotland blazer), collecting and arranging dried flowers, and my mom even made my linen wedding dress from scratch!

All the flowers on the day were dried and prepped with our bridal party in the days leading up. The beautiful artichokes and other special florals are from The Wild Bunch in Wellington. Our guests decorated and set the table on the day, my dad officiated, Café Pure catered for our candle-lit dinner and our sister and brother-in-law from ReelEmotiv, also part of our bridal party, filmed snippets of the day. When Marcel & Sarah Le Sueur couldn’t make it due to lockdown restriction between SA and the UK, their associate, Sinjin Süllwald, stepped in on their behalf and even shot a couple of film photos! Wilna Allpass did my makeup and hair and Marcelina Jardim handmade the bridesmaids’ lovely linen dresses. Our wedding bands were custom designed by John 3 Jewellery, and my engagement ring by DearRae. It was absolutely incredible to see all the planning and what we’ve envisioned come together so beautifully, better than we dreamed! The only thing sorely missed were the ones who weren’t able to be there ♥

It was the most beautiful day.
